EBSCO databases offer AI Insights, a tool that summarizes articles and books in 2-5 key points for each item using Claude Sonnet and Bedrock. AI Insights uses Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) to reduce hallucinations. All Full Text items are eligible for AI Insights, unless the item's content is too short in length. This AI tool does not collect user data.
**AI Insights is currently in Beta.**
**Only a select number of EBSCO databases have AI Insights. If you find the option is not available, the selected database is most likely not eligible for the tool.**
Natural Language Search Mode (NLS) allows users to search EBSCO databases using everyday, conversational language instead of key terms or Boolean operators. EBSCO's NLS mode uses Natural Language Processing (NLP) to understand a user's intent and contextual clues in a question, making it particularly useful for finding specific information quickly or for users who have yet to fully learn their field's jargon. To use NLS, either check the "Natural language" toggle in the simple search interface, or select "Natural language" underneath "Search Options" in the advanced search interface. Do not use this mode for comprehensive, in-depth searches.
