The following databases are newly acquired or being evaluated for a future subscription.
BookFlix offers those new to reading the ability to build vocabulary, reading skills, and pronunciation assistance.
The "Read-Along" feature allows users to read along with the book, while a voiceover reads the book aloud.

After reading, users can view a video of the book to contextualize and create connections between reading and seeing.
IN-LIBRARY ACCESS ONLY. Foundation Maps is the Foundation Center’s data visualization tool for seeing who is funding what and where around the world. With millions of grants from 2006 to the present, innovative ways to visualize funding data, and the flexibility and precision to tailor research, Foundation Maps helps funders and nonprofits access the knowledge they need to make strategic decisions and strengthen their impact.
Search Gale Directory to get business rankings and market share for companies, products, and industries from two e-books: Business Rankings Annual and Market Share Reporter. Get rankings and/or market share by searching for a product time, company, industry, etc.
MarketLine Advantage provides company, industry, financial and country business data, for major marketplaces in the world. For example, searching for a company name such as "Coca Cola" will retrieve recent "Soft Drink" industry profiles (analytical reports), company profiles (analytical reports) of Coca Cola companies, case studies, company news, and financial deals. Company reports include SWOT analyses and industry reports include Five Forces analyses.
Provides newspaper articles from 1980-present. from Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Washington Post with coverage of local, national and world events.
Pronunciator offers a personalized approach to language learning, by offering weekly conversation classes, curated language courses, and pronunciation inspector (to help with tricky words).

This database is also accessible through the App Store and GooglePlay marketplaces.
Use RCL to find high quality materials for your use or to recommend that the library purchase. Provides descriptions of core titles that are essential for undergraduate study, including books, ebooks, internet sources, audio and video. Developed by an editorial team of more than 400 subject editors, bibliographers, and reviewers, the RCL database content is continuously updated. Find titles by search or by browsing subjects. Use Advanced Search to limit to particular formats, curricular levels, award-winners, etc.
Sage Knowledge has approximately 100 e-books, most of which are encyclopedias and handbooks. The e-books cover a wide range of subjects, including business and management, education, health and social care, media and commmunications, politics, and international relations.
The Library has added over 100 e-books from two collections: Computer Science 2016 and Forensics & Security 2016. Also, the Library subscribes to 10-15 Elsevier journals, including Decision Support Systems, Journal of Computer and System Sciences, Journal of Systems and Software, Computers and Security, International Journal of Medical Informatics, Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, and Journal of Biomedical Informatics, etc. To search only for articles or e-books available in full text, go to Advanced Search. Use the "Refine your search" options to select "Subscribed publications" and "Open Access." Without those refine options, you will also retrieve citations and abstracts for articles not subscribed by the Library.
